Approximately a year into the search, in late April of 2019, we found a piece of property on Zillow and sent an email to the listing agent asking if we could walk around. Thru the help of an app called LandGlide, we were able to walk to the approximate property boundaries. It was lovely! We liked the trees, of course, but also the variety — a flat area near the road, hills and valleys, several creeks, and a natural fence created by a small piece of land across the road that was included in this listing. Our only question was about what appeared to be a runway at the top of the hill. Was it active? Did we need to worry? We were definitely intrigued! Enough that we walked it again with our son, and then met our realtor there to walk it a third time and decide if we wanted to make an offer. 5 days after stepping foot on that property, we submitted an offer. 2 days later it was accepted! WOW!
